Dear Author hosts an Agony/Ecstasy giveaway and Q&A

There are some great comments, questions and answers going on over at Agony & Ecstasy Anthology Introduction and Giveaway. Ten paper copies of the erotic short story anthology will be given to randomly chosen commenters, so if you’d like a free copy, swing on by. Also, many of us are answering questions from readers and each other.

Also, Jane Litte (the anthology editor) mentioned in comments that in the lead up to the December 6th release date, she’ll be posting excerpts to the stories on Dear Author each day, along with a little about why each was selected.

Agony/Ecstasy Edits back. :)

I just got my very first edits back! I’m pleased to see it’s mostly just minor copy edit tweaks (as well as one idiom that it seems the copy editor isn’t familiar with). I have a grand total of one other sentence I need to change (to tweak the characterization in light of the direction I’m going with the sequel), and then my story is good to go.

What a relief that they like the story just the way it is. :)

Donkey Free!

Apparently someone found this blog by searching for “Belle Cameron Donkey”.

I would like to state for the record that there are no donkeys at this blog.

However, further exploration of Google did not yield what I initially feared, and instead led me to find that there is a YA book out there called Belle, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast by Cameron Dokey.

So, for anyone who stumbles here looking that Cameron’s book, here’s an easy link for you. :) While my readers might enjoy a YA fairy tale retelling, I’m not so sure my stories are suitable for the YA set, so run along, kiddies. ;)

To the grownups, be sure to check here soon for my pleased thoughts on Bettie Sharpe’s Each Step Sublime, a more adult retelling of The Little Mermaid that will be featured in Agony/Ecstasy: Original Stories of Agonizing Pleasure/Exquisite Pain.

Yielding to Facebook

I don’t update much there (yet) but I’ve finally verified my account over at Facebook so I can have a nice neat URL rather than a string of numbers.

I’ve had my Kindle for a few months, and I’m still discovering new shortcuts and tweaks. Here’s one I only recently found out about:

Agony/Ecstasy authors announced

Editor Jane Litte reveals the author lineup for the Berkley Heat anthology Agony/Ecstasy over at Dear Author.

I’ll be in the Agony/Ecstasy anthology!

Last month I submitted my M/M futuristic short story the Agony/Ecstasy erotic anthology from Berkley Heat. I’ve read the Dear Author romance blog for years, and when I saw the call for submissions, I put it on my running list of places I might want to write and submit to.

I’m very happy to report that the editor, Jane Litte of Dear Author has found a place for my story in this Berkley Heat release! Look out for it November of 2011.
